Age – Unapologetic Me – #BlogchatterA2Z

Behave your Age. What you are doing does not suit you.

Are you out of your mind ?

You are no longer 18 to do all this.

Who will take care of your husband and kids, if you go to work ?

You want to do business at this age ? are you sure ?

said by all the judgmental people in our society since forever

The number of times, every woman has heard these lines is countless. These lines have been quoted by N number of people, whether we know them or we don’t know them. As everyone feels that our personal life is for their judgments.

So what exactly does Age Mean ?

Age in simple terms means that number of years you have spent on Planet Earth, outside your mother’s womb.

Age neither gurantees maturity nor knowledge. A person may be older and still silly, simultaneously a person can be younger and wiser.

A lot of women think that they may be unable to restart their career at the age of 35. There are so many women in our society, who just let these two digit numbers decide our fate. If you are going to restart your career, then you need to forget about age. It is just a random number. Age should be the least of your concerns when you are restarting your career.

If anybody tells you that you cannot restart your career because your age is increasing, then ignore that person forever. A lot of young women delay their marriage and pregnancies because they are worried that motherhood means a full stop to your careers.

I personally believe that there is no concept called as Biological Clock or Career Clock. If a person has the strong desire, then he or she can restart their careers at any given point of time. I restarted my career and became an Enterpreneur at the age of 34. Instead of letting the fear inside my mind eat me, I ate the fear myself.

This post is part of BlogChatter’s A2Z Blogging festival . of April where I’m writing about how I have restarted my career Unapologetically.

Aishwarya Says:

I have always been against Glorifying Over Work and therefore, in the year 2021, I have decided to launch this campaign “Balancing Life”and talk about this wrong practice, that we have been following since last few years. I will be talking to and interviewing around 1 lakh people in the coming 2021 and publish their interview regarding their opinion on glamourising Over Work.

  1. I can relate to you. I restarted my career at 35 too with blogging and again took a plunge at 41 to start my career counselling venture. Loved your post. Looking forward to your posts through April.

  2. Age is the last thing one should be worried about. People talk…that’s their job…all we can do about it is not let it affect our decisions and desires because they will probably be the same people applauding when your successful
