Candidate:05 , Salouni Choudhary, 19, a student studying from home all thanks to Corona Virus.
- What are your official working hours and how many hours do you work?
Ans. As a student I have classes for 3-4 hours daily. But apart from this I am doing internships and for that I don’t have any fixed working time. My classes are usually till 1 daily, sometimes there are some extra classes too. I do my internship work whenever I get time. Thankfully except classes I don’t have fixed timings for my works but still have deadlines.
- How much me time do you get in a day? What do you do during that time?
Ans. It depends on workloads, like sometimes I have my projects, presentation, deadlines or any other work and for that I may have to work for hours together. But even then I am a human and my body needs rest and knowing that I ensure 1-2 hours in a day just for me. And in that time I just like to watch some anime or sleep or listening some music with tea.
- Are you more productive, when you are working for longer hours?
Ans. I don’t think so. My work quality will be affected; I fear it may become too harsh for me because giving time to your body and mind is very necessary. But still there are times when I sleep less due to assignments and deadlines.
- Do working long hours mean better productivity and better quality of work?
Ans. No of course not. There are people who can learn something in 2 hours but at the same time there are people who learn same thing in 4 hours. Working hours completely depend on your efficiency and type of work and circumstances.
- One thing that you would like to change about your work routine?
Ans. I wish to work more in the day (which is hard for me) as compared to night, so that my body and mind can get proper rest to work with full energy the next day.
I have always been against Glorifying Over Work and therefore, in the year 2021, I have decided to launch this campaign “Balancing Life”and talk about this wrong practice, that we have been following since last few years. I will be talking to and interviewing around 1 lakh people in the coming 2021 and publish their interview regarding their opinion on glamourising Over Work.
