I – Why I stopped watching Television

This article is written as a part of the #BlogchatterA2Z Challenge for the Alphabet Z. The Theme for my Challenge is The Indian Television through the eyes of a 90s kid.

The Serial that I had regularly followed on Indian Television was Dill Mill Gaye, till the time Shilpa Anand played the lead character. The serial had changed the lead character some 3-4 times, something that regularly happens in a 1000 episode serial. The Big Bang Theory was the last English Serial that I had watched until Season 5. Somehow, after Bernedette and Howard got married on the terrace of their Friend’s house, I could not watch it.

Somehow, with the passing of time, I found every serial to be repetitive. The basic of the serial was the same, just a little bit tweek here and there. This was somewhere around the year 2012 that I left watching the T.V.Serials. Apart from the boring story line, there was also something that happened along with the same.

We got Wi-fi services and 4 G at a much cheaper rate. Entertainment was now in our pockets. Smartphones were now cheaper than ever. Entertainment was now available in different genres and could travel with me everywhere. By this time the Saas Bahu saga had become a routine and boring as ever, there were n number of reincarnations, plastic surgery, which could also somehow change the face and body of a person totally only the personality of the person would remain the same.

So in short, more travel time and less time to concentrate on crap reduced my patience to suffer nonsense on television.

So here was my blog on Why I stopped watching the Television.
