I love books and can read them anytime and anywhere. A habit that I had developed when I was in school and helped me sail through life till now.
My teacher had advised us to read composition books, which we got those days before going to sleep. The reason was simple. Compositions were usually positive stories, helped us in preparing for our exams and also helped us in developing our language skills.
From composition books, I slowly graduated to non fiction and then fiction and presently, I spend most of my time on quora. For some strange reason, this is just a habit which will die hard and mostly identifies me. Bed time reading has its own benefits.
For one it helps me forget my days stress. When you read you literally transfer yourself into the character of the book. You somehow live their life and stay with them and feel their emotions. Reading at night also helps you relax and for me it is like meditation.
Well I do not have any particular reading list for night. It’s mostly the book or reading material that I had been reading during the day time. I just generally avoid reading any hard or strenious topics at night. Inshort any book that will scare me or make me cry for next two hours. Like P. S. I love you.
Reading just before you sleep helps you to have a good nights sleep, which also means you automatically wake up fresh in the morning. So that is my simple routine to wake up happy and fresh in the morning.
